The digestive and
physiological characteristics of aquatic animals determine
the groups and activity of enzyme used.

The
digestive tract of aquatic animals is relatively short, and
the length of intestines is only 1/3 or 1/4 of the body in
some species. The retention time of digesta is relatively
short; as a result, the digestion of feed is rather
uncompleted.

differentiation of the stomach and intestines of herbivorous
or omnivorous fish is not obvious. There is no real stomachs
or the secretion of gastric juice in fishes. The fishes
