The Action Mechanism of
Phytase

The Influence of Feed Processing Techniques to Phytase
Activity
As a kind of
protein, phytase is very easily influenced by environment
factors. At present , the feed mills are using more and more
heat processing equipments,such
as expanding machine、extruding
conditioner or other types of stress conditioner and high
temperature shot time processing equipments. Those
equipments will also destroy the thermal sensitivity
components like enzyme while curing the feed. So the loss of
phytase in feed heating is the most concerned problem in
feed industry.
The normal
temperature of feed pelleting is around 70-90℃expanding
temperature can reach 120℃
upwards. People worry about that the special space structure
of enzyme protein will be destroyed in such a high
temperature, and lose its catalyses activity. Pelleting and
expanding process also cause very high pressure, influenced
by which, the volume, structure and activity part of enzyme
protein may also change, leading to slower catalysis
reacting speed, then shows the decrease of enzyme activity.
The enzyme added in feed before pelleting would go through
the processes of agitation, mixture, librations, extrusion,
all of which will produce shearing force to act on the
enzyme. Generally speaking, enzyme activity will decrease
with the increase of shearing force and the process of time.
And, the moisture content in feed will be increased during
the process of pelleting, enzyme protein will change due to
change of surface tension. And the existing free water will
also destroy the interaction of hydrogen bond in enzyme
molecule,and
change the enzyme molecule structure,consequently
make enzyme be prone to lose its activity.
How to solve the
above-mentioned problems?People
have been searching all kinds of solutions all the time,
such as choosing high temperature enduring enzyme strain,adopting
some preparation techniques such as micro-cyst or embed in
order to increase the heat endurance of enzyme, and even
transplanting enzyme gene to salivary gland of pigs.

Using Method
The phosphor
substituting rate should be adjusted according to different
animal kinds and different feed material compositions,at
the same time use stone powder to complement the calcium
amount of substituted phosphor source. And the surplus
space can be used to adjust formula or to be complemented by
some cheaper materials such as zeolite powder.
